I'm Coming Home!

It's time for my annual October trip home to Detroit to visit Mom! I leave Thursday afternoon on a flight from Atlanta and will be in Motown for six days.

The preliminary plan calls for a little car shopping. Mom wants to pick out her next vehicle since her current lease is just about up. She wants another Buick though possibly not another Rendezvous. However, if the Lucerne does not come in an all-wheel drive model, she'll likely end up in another Rendezvous. Mom has a steep driveway and needs AWD to get into her garage.

We're going to see Aunt Myrt. She's 92 and still walking and talking like she's 52. She's a hoot. We'll also stop by to see my sister Kathy and her family. My niece, Kayla, is so sweet.

On Sunday, we're going to Ford Field to see the Lions take on the Buffalo Bills. We hope it will be Detroit's first win of the season.

Oh, Good Evening!
